Jack Lee Kalter, age 90 of Kettering, died at his home on December 27, 2014. He was born November 24, 1924 in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Frankie (Partlow) Kalter; wife, Patricia; sister, June Sturm; children: Jackie McManus, Kathleen Steck, David Kalter and Dennis Kalter.
Jack is survived by his sister, Martha (Alan, M.D.) Shafer; daughter, Patty Ferree; son, Michael (Linda) Kalter; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces, WWII. He then served a Tool and Die apprenticeship and retired from Dayton Reliable Tool as Chief Tool Engineer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering, OH 45420, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10:30-11:30 am. Father Chris Worland, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
