Jack Eugene Jenkins, Sr.
Age 72, formerly of Dayton, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in Florida.
Jack is survived by his wife of the past 54 years, Marilyn J. (Sollmann) Jenkins; four children, Jack E., Jr. & Betty Jenkins of Beavercreek, Cheryl & Steve Oliver of Beavercreek, Guy Jenkins of New Lebanon, Debora Sibert & Jim Clark of Deland, FL.; sister, Martha Johnston of Springboro; one brother, Paul Jenkins of New Lebanon; eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, George & Catherine (Boggs) Jenkins, his sister, Geraldine Wilson, brother, James Jenkins, granddaughter, Abigail Hampton and by his son-in-law, David Hampton.
Jack was a member of the Brookville Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. For many years Jack was an auctioneer. He retired 10 years ago from Ryder Logistics.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Pastor Libby Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Ohio. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday.
