Jack E. Engleman, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louvina (Murnahan) Engleman.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Gina Engleman; loving sister, Nancy (Danny) Behr; brothers, Raymond (Marilyn) Engleman and Robert (Karen) Engleman; granddaughter, Brittany Holmes; great-grandson, Zavier Carson; special niece, Carol (Rick) Elliott; special friends, Glenn Jones, Harold and Kate Jones and Marsha Smith.
Jack retired from BICO in 2001. He loved sports and was a great fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed gambling trips anytime or any place. He faced his many health issues with courage and determination.
Jack had a strong belief in God and was a devoted member of Light of Hope. The family wishes to thank Pastor David Davis and his entire congregation for their love and support.
A special thank you to Dr. Michael Verdon DO and the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital's ICU unit, especially Mary Beth, for their expertise and compassion during this final journey.
We love you. We wish there had been more time. May you rest in peace.
