Jack Demeter
January 8, 1936 — March 30, 2017
Jack L Demeter aka "Hunky", 81, passed away at the VA Hospice on March 30, 2017. He is preceeded in death by his parents (Louis and Mary Demeter) and daughter (Kimberly Demeter Hinely).
Survived by his loving wife, Judy Demeter, of 56 years, son-in-law Fred of Savannah, GA, son Stephen Demeter of Gulf Breeze, FL, son George Demeter (Lisa) of Beavercreek, OH, and daughter Lisa Demeter of Park Layne, OH. Grandchildren include Derek Demeter (Nicole), Daniel Demeter, Amanda Roberts, and Seth Demeter and three great grandchildren as well as his grand puppy Lucy.
Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from GM Harrison Machine Repair Skilled Trades. He was also a member of Amvets Post 464 and VFW Post 3283. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and a friend to many.
Special thanks to Kettering Health Care Team: Bonnie, Yvator, Connie, Wes, Julie, and Christine. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Jack. Our family is very greatful. We would also like to thank Dayton Hospice and VA Hospice where he was comforted through the end of his days.
