Jack A. Compton, age 76, of Bethel Township, passed away on January 13, 2024. He was born on July 29, 1947 in Big Rock, Virginia to the late Alex and Arlen Compton.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969. He retired from Duriron/Flowserve after working there for 33 years. In his free time, he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Compton and his niece, Kelly Richmond (Compton).
Left to remember him, his wife of 53 years, Kathy Compton; his son, Shane (Lynn) Compton; grandchildren: Sydney & Paige Compton; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton. Jack's services will begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Following his service, he will be laid to rest with military honors at West Charleston Cemetery.
