Jack L. Clifton

July 7, 1966 — August 18, 2024

Englewood, Ohio

With a heavy heart yet profound admiration, we honor the life of Jack Leslie Clifton, who was also known to many as Jack Lynch. Born on July 7, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio, Jack was a charismatic figure whose creativity and talent flowed through his fingers and into the strings of his beloved guitar. His humble spirit and generous heart managed to touch everyone he met. Jack passed away on August 18, 2024, leaving a void in our hearts that can only be filled by the memory of his infectious laughter and his music.

Jack was a man of many passions, with music being at the heart of it all. From a young age, Jack fell in love with rock music and the electric guitar, a love passed down to him by his talented parents. His ability to bring a room to life with his 7-string guitar was nothing less than extraordinary. But Jack's creativity didn't end at music. He had a knack for creating magic in the kitchen, and his dishes were the highlight of every family gathering. As his daughter, I can tell you that Jack was not just an exceptional musician and cook but also a devoted son, who took pride in caring for his mother, Virginia Seymour. His love for his family was unmatched, and he cherished every moment spent with his three daughters, Kristina, Rachel, and Mallory.

In the words of Plato, "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." This quote resonates with the legacy Jack leaves behind. He is survived by his beloved mother, Virginia Seymour; his ex-wife, Beth Clifton; his daughters, Kristina (Clint) Clifton, Rachel (Dion) Clifton, and Mallory (Matthew) Scott; his grandsons, Jayden, Jordan, Julian Cunningham, Gabriel, Christian, and Waylon Scott; and his granddaughters, Karlee Dubovik and Georgia Scott. He is preceded in death by his father, John Lynch, who surely welcomed him with open arms and a song in heaven.

We invite those who were touched by Jack's life to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. In these moments of remembrance, we can celebrate the life of a man who was not just a creative and talented individual, but a humble soul whose love for his family and passion for music will forever echo in our hearts.
