Jack Atkins
Jack L. Atkins, age 77 of Dayton, passed away January 25, 2011. He was born February 28, 1933 in Dayton to the late Ernest and Marion Atkins. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sisters: Evelyn Bower and Mildred Black; and brother, David Atkins.
Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara A. Atkins; son, Tony (Lesa) Atkins; grandchildren: Garrett Atkins, Lyndsay Bailey, Christina Cunningham and Rebecca Cunningham; brother, George Atkins; sister, Bonnie Boone; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jack retired from the Dayton Board of Education as Area Supervisor and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean War. He loved working in his yard and took great pride in his landscaping.
At his request, there will be no services.
