Jack Ronald Ackerman

Jack Ronald Ackerman, age 88, of Spring Valley, passed away on June 14, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 5, 1934, the son of the late Clarence and Florence Ackerman.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sister, June ; and his brother, Bud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia Ackerman; children, Shelli Smith, Haili Travis, Jack Ackerman, Jr. and Michelle Kicken; grandchildren, Tori, Brittney, Carley, Ryen, Kami and Keri; great grandchildren, Bransen and Colsen; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Roger) Mears and Janet (Fred) Bowman; nephews, Ryan Mears, Adam Witt and Joseph Mears; and many other loving family and friends.
Jack retired from State Farm Insurance, where he was an Agent for over 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his lawn, doing Sudoku puzzles and adored spending time with his 2 dogs, Bella and Tilly. Jack had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes to everyone. He was always there for those he loved and will be greatly missed.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Middle Run Cemetery, 3484 Middle Run Road, located at the intersection of Middle Run Rd. & Waynesville Rd., Bellbrook, with Chaplain Linda Farley-Meyer officiating.
Donations may be made in his honor to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
