J. Edward Crist, 92, of Huber Heights, passed away on November 8, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 10, 1921.
Ed was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a recipient of The Purple Heart and Bronze Star and was a life member of VFW Post 3283 of Huber Heights. Retired from McCalls / Dayton Press after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Crist.
Ed is survived by his loving children, Sherry L. Martin, Kevin P. (Missy) Crist, Robyn L. Davis, Gail (Robert) Blevins; grandchildren, Matt Martin, Kelly (Lisa) Martin, Stephen Martin, Kevin Crist Jr., Montana Crist, Corey Ogden, Trevor Blevins, Beth (Reno) Thomas, Brandi Blevins; 6 great grandchildren; two half sisters, Charlene (Jim) Myers and Jene (Harlen) Grissom; adopted daughter Carol (Damon) Cutlip and his faithful companion, "Lil Girl".
Visitation will be held 9- 11 AM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, with Pastor Mike Plunket officiating. Burial in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the VITAS Hospice.
