Ivy Jane Crawford 71 passed away on November 25, 2023, at Stone Springs of Vandalia Nursing Home. Born July 14, 1952, to the late Issac James Crawford Sr. and Geneva Cole. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Ferguson and Clinton Crawford. Ivy is survived by five children, Dwight Crawford Sr., Jessica L Crawford, Jesse Lee Thomas, Crystal Strickland, Edward Brown Jr.; two sisters, Beverly and Deborah Crawford and brother Issac James Crawford Jr; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.
Ivy worked in the retail field for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting OWLS, California Raisins, and Minions. Ivy loved playing bingo at the local bingo halls and was often lucky at winning. She always liked to watch the latest scary and action movies. She was an avid music lover of all genres of music. Her favorite foods included Church's chicken, Chinese food, barbecue ribs, and Mountain Dew. She will be deeply missed by all.
Per her wishes, there will be no public services.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and kindness of Newcomers' funeral services.
The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial.
