Ivory Von Cray Williams, age 75, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024. He was born in Washington DC on December 29, 1948 to the late Cornelius and Florine Williams.
He was married once, to Evelyn Morales de Rivera. He leaves behind his loving children: Ivory Williams Jr, Ann Oulobo, and Andrew Williams; grandchildren: Nyah Williams, Keiyanai Williams, Yarissa Williams, and Isaac Oulobo, Eve Marie Oulobo, and Leila Oulobo.
Ivory left home to serve in the Vietnam War at the tender age of 18. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic or meritorious achievement or service.
Ivory was always learning. He valued education, receiving his Master's degree in Engineering from Purdue University. In 1991, he began a career at Marathon Oil Company, located in Findlay, Ohio. He remained in Findlay after retirement and until his passing.
Ivory never stopped developing new skills, even after retirement. He easily mastered tech devices, and he learned to do texes at H&R Block, where he worked part time. He enjoyed listening to music, especially vintage Motown recordings. He also enjoyed walking and going to the gym.
Ivory will be missed by those who knew and loved him. We hold him in our hearts and celebrate the good he accomplished in his lifetime.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 3:00pm.
