Iver Stonewall "Ike" Eagle, age 85, of Dayton, passed away on June 13, 2024. He was born in Sinking Spring, Ohio, on November 6, 1938, the son of the late Stonewall and Catherine Eagle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his dearest companion, his dog "Bear" (who went everywhere with him); and many siblings.
Ike is survived by his loving children, Steve (Cindy) Eagle and Teresa (Michael) Lombardelli; grandchildren, Stevie (Abby) Eagle, Justin (Shelby) Eagle, Shane (Kourtney) Eagle, Derrick (Nicole) Hackett and Jordan (Trista) Howe; great grandchildren, Brynn, Bryce, Gavin, Greyson, Ethan, Isaac, Harrison, Harlow, Cameron, Liam, Evangaline and Caspian; and many other loving family and friends.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation, where he was an Engineer for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Fairborn, where he served as a Chaplain, for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, dancing, listening to Bluegrass music, cars/racing and loved to play his Banjo. Ike had a heart of gold and was always there for those he loved, especially his family. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Ike's memory.
