DUNDON, Ivenore Ann (Ivy), April 19, 1937- November 14, 2003. Ivy died at home on November 14, 2003. Born April 19, 1937 to James A. and Genevieve Darr, Ivy spent her childhood and teenage years in Birmingham Alabama, Ashland Kentucky, and Ironton, Ohio. She was a 1955 graduate of Ironton High School and a 1958 graduate of Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She started her 40 year nursing career at Bethesda Hospital and retired in April 2000 from Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, Dayton, Ohio. A devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, Ivy is survived by her husband of 45 years John H. Dundon, their daughter Ivenore Kahl Spitzer, son John Brent Dundon and son-in-law Kevin Spitzer. Her grandchildren are John Michael Dundon, Amanda Nicole Dundon, and Justin Paul Spitzer. She is also survived by her brother James W. Darr of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Walnut Grove Country Club and active in the Women's Association for 30 years. Ivy was an avid golfer. She was an active member of the Bethesda Hospital Nursing School Alumni Association. She was a member of the Shamrock Athletic Club. Due to her tenacity, courage and determination, Ivy has been a gift of love and inspiration to all who had the priviledge of knowing her. Memorial services will be held 6:00PM Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 4:30PM until time of services.
