KAUFFMAN, Ivan Leon age 83 of Beavercreek, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan Link and Hazel Kauffman. He is survived by Janet, his loving wife of 63 years, his children John and wife Shara-Leigh Kauffman of Lima, OH, David and wife Jackie Kauffman of Minnetonka, MN, Maribeth and husband Richard Hedberg of Beavercreek, OH, Stephen and wife Pam Kauffman of Highland, MI; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Pat Martin of Lake Junaluska, NC and Barbara and husband Worden Kidder of Surprise, AZ; and a host of other relatives and friends. Leon served our country in the US Army during WWII. He retired from ExCello Packaging Division after 39 years of service as a Mechanical Engineer, holding 26 patents. He was a member of the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene and spent many hours volunteering at the USAF Museum. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, March 27, 2006, with family receiving friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 North Fairfield Road, with Rev. Keven Wentworth officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Interment at the Dayton National Cemetery.
