Iva Slinkard

Iva M Slinkard, (Neubert), (Clevenger) age 78, of Dayton, passed Sunday, July 10, 2011. She was born in Rushville, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents,
Charles and Lottie Clevenger;
husband, Chester Slinkard;
sons, Robert Slinkard and Eric Slinkard;
brothers, Bob Clevenger, Henry Clevenger,
Philip Clevenger and Baby Clevenger.

Iva is survived by her children, Chester Slinkard Jr, Harry Slinkard, Philip Slinkard,
Celia Brierley(Slinkard), Rodney Slinkard,
Frederick A Neubert; grandchildren,
Bruce Slinkard, Aileen Slinkard, Michael Slinkard, Amanda Slinkard, Paul Brierley Jr, Sonya Slinkard, and Craven Slinkard; great grandchildren;
Michaela Brierley, Mona, Stella, Kevin, Mariah, Madesyn, Bailey as well as 4 distant great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Iva attended the Indianapolis school for the deaf, Married and had eight children. She loved her cat and enjoyed watching humming birds and butterflies. She will be missed by everyone in her family and friends from Indiana, Illinois, Florida, and Ohio. She enjoyed the deaf community and always loved to laugh and joke around. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Temple of Dayton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with final expenses.

Family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd in Beavercreek.

Burial will follow at 2:30pm July 14, 2011 at
Beaver Cemetery.
