Irene Shell

Irene Shell, age 81, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009. Irene was born in Whitesburg, KY, on February 6, 1927, to the late Reck and Stella Markwell. She was preceded in death by her husband Hays and 5 brothers. Irene is survived by her daughters Linda (Dirk) Wales and Brenda (Tom) Slocumb; grandchildren Melissa (Chris), Derek (Margie), Miranda, Aimee (Ben), Matt (Mindy), Josh (Nancy), Zac and Austin; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Daisy Cook; and many other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The family will share memories at 7pm. Private interment will be at Dayton Memorial Park.
