Johnson (Rumreich), Irene Marie, 92, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away March 22, 2018.
Irene was born July 14, 1925 in Mahnomen, Minnesota.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Johnson, son, Paul K. Johnson, son, Clyde L. Johnson, grandson, Paul R. Johnson.
She is survived by son, Wayne Johnson, son, Mark Johnson (daughter-in-law, Sandy Johnson), daughter-in-law, Linda Johnson (wife of Clyde), son, David Johnson (daughter-in-law, Patricia Johnson); grandchildren, John Johnson, Jill Klein (husband, David), Amanda Johnson, Rachel Dell (husband, Mark) Deborah Johnson, James Johnson and Cheri Beebe (husband, David); great-grandchildren, Ashley Klein, James Johnson, Andrew Hansen, Michael Dell, Owen Dell, Korin Johnson, David Beebe, Courtney Beebe and River Beebe.
Irene was a life-long member of the Church of the Ascension, a member of the Kettering VFW Post 9927, AmVets Post 2003 and a long-time volunteer of The Kitchen Clack and Clatter Band. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, and took great pride and joy in having family gatherings. She also possessed great respect for nature and enjoyed baking traditional Czechoslovakian treats.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Church of the Ascension 2025 Woodman Drive Kettering, Ohio 45420. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Irene's memory.
