Irene E. Hedgpath-Kent, age 94 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015. She was born August 26, 1920 in Nashville, TN to the late Porter and Bessie Hunter. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hedgpath; son, Thomas Hedgpath (KIA, Vietnam, 1967); husband, Ralph Kent; 3 brothers and 2 sisters; granddaughters, Angela and Sarah Huffman; 2 sons-in-law, Joseph Rentz and Larry Musick and 1 grandson-in-law, Tim Huffman.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Beverly (Scott) Koch and Patricia Musick; grandchildren, Pam Huffman, Rick (Lisa) Smart, Alan (Julie) Bogard, Mike Bogard, Doug (Debbie) Smart, Tony (Amy) Bogard; great-grandchildren, Tim (Monica) Huffman, Scott Huffman, Alex Bogard, Greg Bogard, Hannah (Phil) Wischmeyer, Carly Bogard, Jack Bogard, Maddie Bogard, Christopher Smart and Jason Smart; great great-grandchildren, Taylor Huffman, Thomas Huffman, Nicole Huffman and Blake Bogard; 2 sisters, Juanita Wick of California and Nancy (Bill) Bumpous of Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Irene was a member of Tipp City Church of Christ. She worked and retired from Bank One after 14 years of service. Irene loved working outdoors, especially on her lawn and flowers.
