Irene Velma Downs, age 91 of Xenia, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born March 10, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of William and Nola Murphy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton L. Downs; Mother, Nola Reynolds and Father, William Murphy.
Irene is survived by her four sons, Stephen, Philip, Mark and Daniel Downs; She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve grandchildren.
Irene was a longtime member of Xenia Nazarene Church and was a dedicated wife and mother.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Xenia Nazarene Church,1204 West 2nd Street, Xenia, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 am. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Park, New Carlisle. If desired, contributions may be made to Xenia Nazarene Church in Irene's memory.
