Iona Carter

CARTER, Iona "Ruby', age 71, of Dayton, died Friday January 6, 2006. She was born June 28, 1934 in Manchester, KY, the daughter Stevie and Mattie (Hoskins) Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold L. Carter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Vic Roberts of Tipp City, Rhonda and John Sipe of Riverside; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dwight Carter of Dayton; Tim and Kim Carter of Camden; 6 grandchildren, Ronnie, Lori, Zeb, Amanda, Amber, and Gypsy; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Victoria, Alyssa, and Blake; her mother, Mattie; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bernice Baker, Wanda and Clarence Baker. She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Thelma Bumbalough. Visitation will be held Monday, January 9, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) where funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
