Iola Stanze

Iola Stanze, age 95 of Kettering, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born March 9, 1920 in Darke County, OH to the late Harry and Lovina Hoke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Stanze; foster sister, Letha Richards and a half brother, Earl Hoke.

Iola is survived by her daughters, Priscilla (Dan) Acuff and Marty (John) Piatt, and step-grandchildren: Nathan Acuff, David Piatt, Diane Gutierrez and Dan Piatt.

Iola grew up in Palestine, OH. She taught piano lessons for many years in Kettering and was an active member of Fairhaven Church. Iola was known for making delicious cookies for all of her friends, always had a smile on her face and was thoughtful of others.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am - 1:00pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Road, Centerville, where the service will begin at 1:00pm.
