Ingrid Hoffman, 82, of Bellbrook Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 17, 2018
Ingrid was born on February 15, 1936 in Berlin Germany to Ernst and Ellie Gunther. She married James Caldwell of Texas and then moved with her three children, Irena, James Michael and David Thomas, to the United States in 1966.
Ingrid worked in customer service for most of her life, and retired in 2005. She loved cooking and was especially talented at making authentic German recipes. She was a generous, sympathetic person who would gladly give everything she had to someone in need. Ingrid loved animals, and was well known for adopting and feeding anything from dogs and cats, to geese, squirrels and even the occasional pig.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Ellie, her brother Uve Gunther, and her husband Leroy Hoffman. She is survived by her children Irena Brawley, James Michael Caldwell, and David Thomas (Jackie) Caldwell, her grandchildren David(Michelle) Brawley, Katrina Seymour, Ingrid Caldwell, Christopher(Lookmark) Caldwell, and Elizabeth Metcalf; her great grandchildren Ethan Caldwell, Nora Metcalf, Jeremiah Caldwell, and Kinley Caldwell.
Visitation hours will be 1:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday October 28, 2018 at Newcomer, Beavercreek Chapel at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432. Services will follow directly after.
