FREEMAN, Imogene, age 85, of Beavercreek, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was born in Jamestown, TN in 1927 and employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory during WWII. Imogene later retired from General Motors in 1986.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cosby and Roxie Stewart and her husband, Lloyd Freeman. Imogene is survived by her children, Barbara (Ken) Wood and Jeannie Freeman-Gregg; grandchildren, Christopher Wood, Katie Anker, and Jacquelin "Jackie" Gregg; great grandchildren, Ava and Erik Anker; brothers, Jim (Mary) Williams, Tom (Ethel) Stewart, and Roger (Ruth) Stewart; half-sister, Wanda Garrett, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 am on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am, Pastor Ron Evans officiating, with burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
