Ida Goldie Hundley

Ida Goldie Hundley, age 100, of Centerville, OH passed away on May 2, 2023. Ida was born on May 9, 1922, in River Hill, KY. She was the daughter of Jim and Molly (Wathen) Tankersley.

As a result of being raised on a farm in the hills of Kentucky, Ida had a strong work ethic. During her working career, she was employed at Apex Machinery as a Machinist. In her spare time and later in her life during retirement, Ida loved to garden and was told she had a "green-thumb" and could grow anything. She also enjoyed going to a good garage sale with her friends. However; what brought her the greatest joys and love was her family and her strong faith in her Lord.

Ida is survived by her loving son, DaWayne (Kelli) Hundley of Centerville; granddaughters, Hannah (Justin) Hunter of Sheridan, WY and Rachel Hundley of Centerville, OH; grandson, Jared Hundley of Centerville, OH; great-granddaughters, Aubrielle and Kinsley Hunter; and great-grandson, Jed Hunter all of Sheridan WY.

Along with her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her loving husband,Wayne Hundley; and daughter, Drucilla Mikula.

Ida's family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life to remember Ida's wonderful years will be held on her 101st birthday on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor David Bickers officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens.
