Ida Jane Conley

April 9, 1931 — October 21, 2023

Ida Jane "Barts" (Preston) Conley, 92, of Beavercreek, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023 with loving family by her side. She was born April 9, 1931, in Salyersville, Kentucky, on Burton Fork, to the late William Moses "Curt" and Mollie Jane Helton Preston.

She was married to her husband Delancie "Bear" Conley for 48 years, who preceded her in death.

She was a blessing to us as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma, and friend. When she wasn't busy spending time with her family she enjoyed being in the outdoors taking walks, playing in creeks, working in her yard, and Beverly's yard as well. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and adventures with family. Whether it be short rides looking for things along the way or finding those great mom-and-pop restaurants and roadside parks to enjoy a good meal. She traveled exploring many places and making lasting memories with her family and her "Young at Heart" group where she enjoyed a lot of fellowship and sightseeing. She was always a good sport when we as a family involved her in any of our shenanigans from water skiing to Halloween costumes as she made the perfect Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. She was a cut-up and enjoyed life to the fullest in so many ways.

She was a devoted member at Faith Baptist Church where she served her Lord as a Sunday school teacher and helped those in need for many years. She enjoyed her time spent with her church family. Janes's faith and love for Jesus was evident in her daily life. She never went without asking strangers if they were from Kentucky and where they went to church and a chance to witness to them. Someone once told her that she was the cream of the crop! To us she definitely was.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Agee and Beverly Daugherty, both of Beavercreek, Ohio. Four grandchildren, Nathan (Janet) Agee of Summerville, South Carolina, Brandy Agee of Springfield, Tennessee, Kelly (David) O'Rear of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Kevin Daugherty of Fairborn, Ohio. Four great-grandchildren, Piper Agee, Ayden Agee, David Agee, Ava O'Rear, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends
She is preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Conley, and six brothers, John Redmond Preston, Henry Ford Preston, Ralph Carter Preston, William Roger Preston, Roy Todd Preston, and Walker Trome Preston. Three sisters, Anne Preston Kelley, Luva Mae Preston Connelley, and Glenna Sue Preston Howard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida's memory to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton) or Faith Baptist Church (4215 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9:30am-11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek) with funeral services being held at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia, Ohio.
