Ian Matthew Newman

Ian Matthew Newman, age 26, of Dayton, passed away January 28, 2025. Ian was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 12, 1998 to Tim and Rachel Newman.

Ian is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Susan and Walter Isham and his paternal grandfather, Donald C. Newman.

He is survived by father, Tim (Sarah Newman) Newman; mother, Rachel Newman; siblings, Elizabeth, Jake, Gracie, Michael Gray, Gabby and Ariel; maternal grandmother, Patricia Newman; as well as aunts and uncles, a nephew, nieces, cousins and many family members and friends.

Ian worked as a landscaper. He attended Beavercreek High School. 

In his free time, he enjoyed making and producing music, skateboarding, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. 

Ian loved his family and friends. Ian was the life of the party, he was always happy and positive. He wore his heart on his sleeve. Ian loved animals, especially dogs. He would do anything for anyone. Ian was a generous person who was empathetic and compassionate. He was a gentle giant.

Ian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), with a memorial service being held at 6:00pm.
