I A Baker, age 87, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday September 7, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Lilly Baker of Big Hill, KY and brother, Bradley Baker, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Baker; children, David A Baker ((Sue), Rodger D. Baker (Cynthia), step-children, Francis Johnson, Johnny Johnson (Kay), Rosalie Weherley; and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sisters Martha, Dora, Sarah, and sister-in-law Retha.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the USMC. He was also a retired group leader from Inland Mfg. Division of General Motors. Irvine was a member of the Baptist faith.
Visitation is Friday September 12, 2014 from 12 pm to 2pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH. Pastor Terrell Hudson is officiating. Graveside committal service will follow at 3pm at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.
