Hudson Alexander Lee

January 17, 2005 — January 26, 2022

"To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift."

~ Steve Prefontaine

Hudson Alexander Lee, 17, beloved son of Tony and Carla Lee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, while surrounded by his family. Hudson held a tremendous zest for life, was fun-loving with a quick wit, was a true foodie at heart, adored his friends, and above all, possessed a deep love for his pups and his family. At age 10, he won his first 5K race which fueled his desire to run. Training, running, and competing became his undeniable passion. He strived to improve each day with the goal of running for the Oregon Ducks at the collegiate level. While his ability to walk, talk, and eat was taken from him shortly after being diagnosed with brain cancer in January, 2021, his positive outlook and determination to live remained strong. He never stopped believing that he would once again run alongside his cross country friends and teammates.

Hudson is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Fletcher; step-grandfather, William Frue; and grandmother, Marcelle Lee. In addition to his parents, Hudson is survived by his siblings, Isabella and Charles Lee, and Diana and Hunter Coohill; grandmother, Jane Fletcher; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Hudson's smile and sense of humor were contagious; his kindness touched our hearts; his tenacity, dedication, drive and hard work inspired us all; and his infectious laugh and love for life will never be forgotten. He always said, "Do you want to be good, or do you want to be great?" Hudson would ask all who cared for him to remain strong and Just Keep Running! He will forever be loved and will always remain in our hearts.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Beavercreek High School Auditorium. Dress is casual and green attire is welcome. Masks are required. Immediately following the service, the family invites you to join them for a lap around the BHS track in honor of Hudson.

Because Hudson held a deep love for his cross country community and school, the family asks that you consider a donation in his honor in the following ways:

1) Contributions can be made to the Beavercreek Cross Country and Track program to be used to purchase training equipment which will support those who continue his love of running. Checks can be written to BCCPA with "Hudson Lee Fund" in the memo line and mailed to:
