GREENE, Hubert D.
Age 78, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Hubert was born April 11, 1930 in La Follette, Tennessee to Isaac & Maudie (Graves) Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Greene & Ollie Mae Hensley; and by two brothers, Rufus & Homer Greene. Hubert is survived by his wife of the past 52 years, Betty L. (Capps) Greene; one daughter, Patricia & her husband, Robert Jones; two sons, James & his wife, Marla and their daughter, Olivia Greene and Jeffery & his wife, Sheila Greene and their daughter, Arrianna; and by his extended family & many good friends. Hubert retired from Dayton Daily News in 1992 with 32 years of service in the press room. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM until the time of services.
