Howard Thompson

THOMPSON, Howard, age 89 passed away Tuesday November 9, 2010. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred and sister, Lena Hicks. He is survived by his children, Pat McElfresh, Tom (Nancy) Thompson, Ron (Gwen) Thompson, Don (Debbie) Thompson, and Pam (Jeff) Meyers; grandchildren, Tancy McElfresh, Jeffrey (Tracy) McElfresh, Justin Thompson, Heather Thompson, Nick Meyers, and Zach Thompson; great-grandchildren, Mandy, Josh, Dustin, and Syndi; great-great child, Morrigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Howard received the Purple Heart during WWII and retired from Chrysler after many years of service. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. The family would like to thank the staff of Crestview Manor were he resided the last few years. They would also like to thank Miami Valley Hospital ICU staff for their care and support. A visitation will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Interment at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
