Howard T."Bud" Clagg Jr.

Howard T. "Bud" Clagg Jr., age 80, of Medway, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Bud was born in Dayton on July 27, 1943.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard T. Clagg Sr. and sister, Judith Rich.

Bud is survived by his three children, Jeff Clagg, Stacy Clagg (Lisa Heimrick) and Shawn Clagg; mother of his children, Jean Bostick; six grandchildren, Scott Clagg (Peyton), Josh Clagg (Brittani), Matthew Clagg (Natalie), Jordan Clagg, Connor Clagg and Ryleigh Burden; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Scarlett and Cooper; niece, Crystal Elkins (Gary); and many other relatives and friends.

Bud retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1997, where he proudly served as a Union Steward for many years. He was a member of the Farmersville Masonic Lodge #482, as well as a member of Scottish Rite since 1986. Bud loved spending time at his lake house in Cumberland, KY where he enjoyed boating, 4-wheeling, and late-night parties by the camp fire with family and friends. He will be remembered as a kind-loving and giving dad, grandpa/papa, and friend.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 5-7pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The memorial service will follow at 7pm.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bud's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
