Howard Emil Stakelin Jr., 70, of Miamisburg, passed away on January 3, 2017. Jr. was born on September 16, 1946 to the late Howard and Anna (Roberts) Stakelin, Sr. at Richmond, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diana (Norm) Perkins, and brother, Robert Stakelin. Jr. is survived by loving wife of 46 years, Connie; daughters, Marissia (Steve) Hayles and Angel (Paul) Valerio; brother, Jimmy (Geneva) Stakelin; grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron (Elizabeth), Jason, Miranda, and Andrew; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Grace; numerous other friends and family; and his special dog, Allie. Jr. worked for Dayton Forge and Heat Treating as a Machinist for 32 years. Also, he was the local UAW 785 union president for 25 years. He worked at DMAX for an additional 10 years. Jr. loved sports—especially UD basketball and OSU football, Motown music, and spending time with family. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017, 6:00 pm – 7:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio, with a funeral service following.
