Howard "Dean" Spurling, age 63, of Moraine, Ohio, passed away September 9, 2020.
Dean was born October 13, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harold Glenn and Eva F. (Daffron) Spurling. Dean grew up in Miami Shores and graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1974. Dean was a proud member of IBEW Local 82. He was a devout Christian and regularly attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Dayton.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his nephew, Robby Spurling.
Dean is survived by his two daughters, Emily (Reggie) Pope, Nataley (Josue) Calderon; grandsons, Cruz, Leland, and Blake. Dean is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Julie) Spurling, Danny (Sandra) Spurling, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Dean never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Dean's memory.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio.
