LEWIS, Howard, age 94, formerly of Sharonville, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Gladys, his wife of 64 years, Norma, his brother Robert, and his son-in-law Dilip Soni.
Howard is survived by his children, Russell, Brian, (Marilyn) Beth, and Stuart (Fay Samborsky); grandchildren Lisa and Kelly Lewis, and sister, Betty Legg.
He retired from the Cincinnati Parks and Recreation Department, where he worked as an accountant. This followed careers as a teacher (Wyoming Junior High School), a printer, and a meteorologist. Prior to that, he served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He and his late wife Norma were longtime members of Blue Ash Presbyterian Church, and patrons of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Playhouse in the Park, and Showboat Majestic. He spent the last 5 years of his life in Trinity Community (Beavercreek, Ohio) after having lived in Sharonville for 50 years.
Memorial services will be held at Trinity Community of Beavercreek at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 13, and at Blue Ash Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 14. Memorial donations may be made to the Gift Of Music Fund in support of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra or to the Life Enrichment Fund in support of Trinity's mission.
