BLOSSER, Howard R., age 91, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Evan Blosser and a sister, Laura (Helfrick). Howard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eva Blosser; 2 children, Philip (Penny) Blosser and George Blosser; brothers, Carl and Don Blosser; sisters, Lois (Amstutz), Doris (Witmer), Velma Blosser; grandchildren, Sarah and Hannah Blosser, and numerous family and friends. He graduated in 1939 with a Bachelor's Degree from Goshen College (Indiana). Howard received his Masters in 1955 from Ohio State University. He served in Civilian Public Service during WWII followed by 5 years of voluntary church relief service in Europe. After returning to the United States and starting a family, he worked at Sherwin-Williams as a paint chemist for 22 years followed by 17 years as a handyman at Carriage Hill Farm, part of Five Rivers Metro Parks. Howard was an active member of the Huber Mennonite Church using his skills wherever he could. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Huber Mennonite Church, 1885 S. Dayton Lakeview Rd., New Carlisle. Family will receive friends Friday, June 1, 2007 from 5:00-8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, as well as 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
