Howard Johnson

JOHNSON, Howard "Bim", 80, of Kettering passed away Monday July 19, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Josephine; brothers Buddy and George; and sister Dorothy Shaw. Bim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charmaine; children Connie (Jerry) Sage, Vicki (John) Harshman, Michael (Gloria), and Sean (Jhama); grandchildren Jay, Jenny, Angela (Ronnie), Heather (Shawn), Brandon (Jennifer), Kyle, Jaiden, Logan, and Brody; great grandchildren Jake, Justin, Andria, Chelsea, Katie, Dustin, Cameron, Caleb, Isaiah, Jonathan, Tyler, and Nevaeh; brother Ray (Ada), of Alabama; sister Mary Lewis, of Xenia; Aunt Martha (Thurman); numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends, including his golf buddies. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He retired from GM and Rankin TV followed by working as a starter for Community and Kitty Hawk Golf Courses. Bim was very proud of his two "holes-in-one". He was a member of the Milton Athletic Club. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Friday, July 23, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. Family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30PM prior to services. Burial will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton.
