Howard M. Grice, 87, of Kettering, passed away August 25, 2017. Howard was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 3, 1930 to the late Harry and Irene Grice. Howard retired from Master Consolidation after over 40 years of service. Howard and his wife also owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Vandalia for many years. Howard proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. In his free time he enjoyed traveling, working in the yard and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Grice; and his aunt and uncle, Clara and Arthur Pieffer.
He is survived by sons, Harold (Marcia) Grice, Robert (Jennifer) Grice; daughter, Dianna (Terry) York; grandchildren, Adam York, Michael York, Christina Grice, Nicole Grice, Renee Grice, Erica Watamaniuk, Austin Grice, Molly Grice; great grandchildren, Mason Watamaniuk, Nolan Watamaniuk; and several other relatives and special friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Lebanon Cemetery on Hunter Street.
