Howard L. Daniels, age 90 of Kettering, reunited with his wife, Ilene on January 3, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1933 in Ft. Gay, WV to the late Mart and Etta (Spaulding) Daniels. In addition to his wife and parents, Howard was preceded in death by numerous siblings and extended family.
He is survived by his four children, Leslie (Penny) Daniels, Rayetta (Rick) Raymond, Earl (Amy) Daniels and Rhonda (John) Mercs; grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) Daniels, Angie (Joe) Mabe, Tracey Ferguson, Sarah (Erik) Shelto, Jonathan (Jamie) Gleason, Darryl (Whitney) Gleason, Zach (Megan) Daniels, Nick (Elizabeth) Daniels, Heather (Justin) Wheeler, Ashley (Corey) Miller, Holly (Michael) Hampo and John A. Mercs; great-grandchildren, Savannah Daniels, Jeffrey Daniels Jr., Charlotte Daniels, Rebecca Friedman, Matthew Mabe, Hannah Mabe, Morgan Ferguson, Braden Shelto, Aubrey Shelto, Liam Shelto, Peyton Shelto, Elijah Church, Jay Gleason, Brianna Gleason, Lexi Gleason, Sadie Daniels, Josee Daniels, Kallie Daniels, Madison Daniels, Ty Wheeler, Georgia Miller and Lily Hampo; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Howard proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed listening to old country/bluegrass music, driving around and camping. He loved the Lord with all his heart. His greatest passion in life was his family and spending time with them.

Family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 11th at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
Howard's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
