Homer Deaton

Deaton, Homer A., 76, of New Lebanon passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jerolyn Deaton; daughter Vicki Knepp; granddaughter Ginny (Matt) Thompson; great grandson Logan Thompson; sister Dorothy Bell; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends, including Nathan Arndts. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the Shriners since 1970 and Chief of Potentate Staff for many years. He loved to play golf with his wife and their many friends. Homer was a veteran in the U.S. Army with service in the Korean War. He retired from GE after 39 years as a manager of Quality Control. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, January 27, 2007 at The Shriners Club, First St. in Dayton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
