DAVIS, Homer A. age 79, passed away at The Elm Creek Nursing Home on Thursday. Homer was born in Ethyl and raised in Honaker West Va. He was a WWII veteran, and served as an MP for the Army-Air Corp. He was retired from Frigidaire after 30 yrs. of service. After retirement Homer was a carrier for the Dayton Daily News for 8 yrs. Homer was preceded in death by his loving wife Christineia of 48 yrs., his parents; Ira and Bonnie Davis, 3 brothers: Hobert, Louie, and Russell Davis, 3 sisters; Pauline Davis, Irene Turner and Beth Ann Gambill . He is survived by 2 sons; Barry (Sherry) Davis, and Doug Davis, 2 daughters; Barbara Adkins, and Debbie (Virgil) Sparks; 4 grandchildren; David Middleton, Shane, Amy, and Rocky Davis; 3 gt. grandchildren; Christopher Middleton, Lauren Woods, and Ella Davis; and 1 sister; Jean Alice Noble; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. on Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Family will recieve friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003. Burial will be at the Byron Cemetery following services.
