Age 83, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
Wallace was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Kathryn Inez (Howard) Delk, in 1999.
He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Delk; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles & Eva Delk and Kenny & Rosa Delk; two grandchildren, Evan & Charlie; one great granddaughter, Rylee; one sister, Lillian (& her husband, Aaron) Boles; two brothers, Frank (& his wife, Chris) Delk and Beecher (& his wife, Ida Mae) Delk; nieces & nephews; his beloved dog, Sabrina; and by his extended family and many good friends.
Wallace was a member of North Huber Heights Baptist Church. During WW II he served in the U. S. Army. He retired in 1983 from General Motors with 30 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 -4:00 p.m., Sunday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., Monday. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Wallace to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
