Hinson Poston

POSTON, Hinson Walter, age 81, of Kettering, passed away Mon., June 19, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton after suffering a heart attack. Born July 24, 1924 in Alpina, TN to Irvin & Bertha (Matthews) Poston. He served in the U.S. Army with service during W.W.II. Hinson moved to Dayton in 1947 where he was employed at Frigidaire and retired from the Moraine Division of General Motors in 1982. He was active at the Kettering Recreation Center. Hinson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther M.; 1 son Ricky Poston (Jean) of Austin, TX; 2 daughters Pamela Frost (Richard) of Miamisburg and Karen Pierce (Richard) of Kettering; 6 grandchildren Jennifer Miller (Brad), Shaun Frost, Desiray Taylor (Ron) and Nicole, Tosha and Kasey Pierce; 4 great-grandchildren Kelsey, Alexandra, Jenna and Gavin; 4 brothers Charles, Bill, Bobby and Jimmy; 4 sisters Dean, Elize, Reba and Mamie and his beloved dog Mitsu. Funeral services 1:30 P.M., Mon., June 26, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Pastor Clyde Waites officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
