Hilda Iris Maldonado

Hilda Iris Maldonado, age 86, of Kettering, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2024. She was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, on November 9, 1937, the daughter of the late Tomasa Vargas and Saturnino Rosado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Miguel Maldonado, II.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Melquiades Maldonado; son, Miguel (Maria) Maldonado; daughter, Donna (Michael Brandabur) Maldonado; grandchildren, Michelle Busquets, Nicole (Glen) Buickerood, Chrystal Cunningham and Matthew Cunningham; great grandchildren, Miguel Maldonado, III, Malaya Maldonado, Miles Vale Buickerood and Violet Lucia Buickerood; siblings, Carmen Rosado, Bienvenido Rosado, Lillian Herrera and Sonia Herrera; and many other loving family and friends.

She was a member of over 40 years of the Sacred Heart Cofrade and the Parroquia Nuestra Senora de la Providencia. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO and caring for those in need. Hilda was always there with a helping hand, whether it be providing food, giving clothing or supporting various organizations. Her faith was something she held very dear and was a devout Catholic. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm, on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 11:00am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery, Kettering.
