Herman Ray Franklin

FRANKLIN, Herman Ray age 81 of Huber Heights, formerly of Fayetteville, WV, passed away Monday, December 18, 2006 at Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 6, 1925 in Proctor, NC to the late Harlan P. and Nettie (Cunningham) Franklin. He was preceded in death by his first wife W. Madeline and his wife Dessie M. Franklin, 5 brothers, 2 sisters; and 1 great grandson Edward James Childers. He is survived by his children Michael Franklin, Deborah and husband Tony Padilla; grandchildren Anthony (Missy Lauderman York and Rachael (E. J. Childers) York; great grandchildren Tearney and Trenton York and Tayleah Childers; sisters Mary Musick and Sue Cook; and a host of other relatives and friends. Herman retired from GM after 31 years of service. He really enjoy colleting coins, clocks and pocket knives, when he wasn't at the flee market. He was a wonderful man. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 22, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service.
