Herman Pack, Sr
PACK, Herman A., Sr., 91, of Alpha, Ohio passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mildred; and brother Emerson. Herman is survived by children Alan (Christine) Pack and daughter Rebecca Pack; grandchildren Brittany, Christina, and Michael; brother Virgil; sisters Ruth and Hazel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was retired from General Motors after 33 ½ years. Herman was a veteran in the U.S Navy with service in WWII. He was a past commander and lifetime member of VFW Post #8312 in Beavercreek, lifetime member of Amvets Post #14 in Xenia, and member of the Eagles 1689 in Xenia.
Family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30PM Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd with a memorial service to follow at 2:30.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton.
