May, Herman, age 82, of Miami Township, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Herman was born October 14, 1929 in Kermit, West Virginia to the late Isaac & Lucinda May.
Herman retired from Frigidaire/ General Motors with 30 years of service, he was a United States Army Veteran, and an avid champion horseshoe pitcher.
Herman is survived by his wife of 40 years: Betty May; three children: Wade (Kathy) May, Dina (John) Tiger, Lois Simpson; three step children: Henry Ledbetter Jr., Carol (Pat) Konkler, Pam Ledbetter; twelve grandchildren; brother: Lewis (Ruth) May; and numerous other family members and friends. Along with his parents, Herman was preceded in death by a daughter: Pandora May; one brother, four sisters, and his granddaughter: Stephanie Ledbetter. Herman will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Pastor Michael Cleghorn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dayton VA Medical Center in memory of Herman.
