Herman Gabriel

GABRIEL, HERMAN B., age 83, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton on October 29, 2023, with his devoted wife by his side. He was surrounded by family and friends in the days leading up to his passing.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lela Gabriel, and his brother, James Gabriel.

Herman is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Edna M. Gabriel; three children and their spouses/significant other, Michael and Yvette Gabriel, Ann Bernard and Chris Draut, and Carolyn and Bob Bennett; five grandchildren, Madison Gabriel, Nicholas Bernard, Collin Gabriel, Riley Aukerman, and Logan Aukerman; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Herman graduated from General Motors Institute (GMI) in Flint, Michigan and continued working for GM/Delco Products for many years before working in the financial planning and tax preparation industries. Herman also volunteered with Centerville Police and actively participated at Incarnation Parish as a server, and a member of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and Serra Club.

The Gabriel family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton who were unbelievable during the time spent at the facility.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 13th, from 10:00am until the time of mass at 11:00am at Incarnation Catholic Church, 55 Williamsburg Ln, Dayton, OH 45459.
