Herman E. Saylor

Saylor, Herman E., age 85, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Ilene (nee Benge) of 57 years. Herman is survived by his son: Mark Saylor, "a fine son who I love very much", Jeff Matthews, and numerous nieces and nephews. Herman proudly served in WWII in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Saylor retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. A devout Christian, Herman practiced his faith throughout his life. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
