Herman P. Bergstedt, age 93 of Kettering, OH went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2021. He was born March 26, 1928 in Ashley, North Dakota to Reverend Dietrich and Anna (Wittig) Bergstedt. He married Evelyn Troutman on May 2, 1959 in Champaign, Illinois.
Herman attended Halliday High School and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University in 1950.
Herman served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was employed by the General Electric Aviation Field Service Unit for 37 years.
Herman is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; daughter, Karen (Mark) Parsons; son, Philip (Carla Davis) Bergstedt; grandsons, Matthew (Brittany) Parsons and Mitchell (Amanda) Parsons; two great grandchildren, Caylee and Micah Parsons; a sister, Dorthea Ziegler; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Martin Bergstedt.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 East Stroop Road, Kettering, OH 45429 or Hospice of Dayton (Ohio's Hospice), 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
