Herman Earl Behnken, "Bud," age 72 of Dayton, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton. He was born February 27, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Herman and Novelene Behnken. He was born again on August 16, 2017.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sharlene Frasure; and several nieces and nephews.
Herman is survived by his daughter, Renee (Michael) Malone; former wife, best friend & caregiver, Patricia Behnken; grandchildren, Jessica Malone, Joshua (Stephanie) Malone, Bethany Malone; great grandchild, Jace Shell; sisters, Barbara (Harold) Frasure, Bonnie (Marv) Aukerman, Joanie Shaneyfelt, Judy Brammer, Sharon Colia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Bud".
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 7 pm, with Pastor James Setser officiating. Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Norvell officiating.
